Personalising Investments

  • Can Jama be personalised so that it works for my requirements and profile?
Yes, Jama can help you guide on which stocks and funds to invest in based on your personal risk profile. It can alert you on when is a good time to invest more or when it is not. We do not get paid based on the investments you make via commissions or brokerages. Hence the advice is unbiased. For an even higher level of personalisation and direct access to our SEBI Registered Advisors, we have a Wealth Advisory plan and Equity Advisory Plans at Jamawealth.com for high net worth individuals/families
  • How do you assess my risk profile?
We ask you a set of questions to know about your understanding of investment products, past behavior, preferences, income and spending levels etc to arrive at a score. This is done scientifically and helps us recommend the set of investments for you. We also suggest an overall asset allocation i.e. advice on how much to invest in equity vs debt instruments in a ratio that is personalised for you.
  • How do you know when is a good time to buy more?
Our research team studies the markets and forms a view on if there are prospects to generate good returns. The equity markets are studied for the Price to Earning Multiple levels of various key stocks. Similarly, the debt markets are studied for various macroeconomic indicators such as interest rates, inflation and GDP growth. Based on these we determine a three level indicator (red/yellow/green) to guide you on increasing or decreasing the pace of investments.
  • How do you pick mutual funds for me?
Based on your risk profile, we get an overall idea of the combination of investments that would be ideal for you. For a person desiring higher returns and willing to take a higher risk, there are specialised baskets of equities or categories of funds such as flexicap/multicap/midcap funds that are selected. For highly conservative investors, a subset of debt funds that invest in highly secure investments (eg: Govt Securities) are recommended.
  • How do you assess what stocks to invest for me?
We strongly recommend that you invest in equities with at least a three-year time frame in mind. Anything less you are better off investing in liquid or debt funds. Coming to equities, we have a large-mid cap focused stock portfolio (JEWEL) that is recommended for clients who are moderate in their risk profile. For clients willing to take higher risk, we have a small-cap focused portfolio (SPARK) that is more volatile but could fetch higher returns.
